Lowe's Promotes Dennis R. Knowles to Senior Vice President of Store Operations
MOORESVILLE, N.C., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lowe's Companies, Inc.
(NYSE: LOW) announced today the promotion of Dennis R. Knowles to senior vice
president of store operations for the company's South Central Division,
effective immediately. Knowles replaces Michael K. Brown, who was promoted to
executive vice president of store operations last month. He will report to
Brown.

In his new role, Knowles is responsible for operations of more than 280
stores in eight south central states. A retail veteran with more than 25
years of operations and merchandising experience, Knowles joined Lowe's in
2001 and served most recently as regional vice president of store operations
in Lowe's West Division.

skills in the rapidly growing Southern California market," explained Brown.
"His experience and expertise will be great assets as he focuses on serving
customers in key markets in the South Central U.S."
