Lowe's Supports United Way Midwest Flood Recovery FundLowe's Stores in Nine States to Serve as Official Cash Donation Sites for Flood Recovery
MOORESVILLE, N.C., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Lowe's stores across the
Midwest are serving as official cash donation sites for the United Way 2008
Midwest Flood Recovery Fund to support long-term recovery and rebuilding
efforts to areas devastated by the recent floods. Through July 21, 2008,
Lowe's will match in-store customer donations up to a total of $100,000.
Donations to the fund will help the Red Cross provide immediate needs such as
food and shelter and longer term recovery efforts of local United Ways.

Participating Lowe's stores include those in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa,
Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Lowe's stores have worked with the United Way for more than 20 years on a
variety of projects including disaster relief, product donation and donations
to the annual campaign. In 2007, Lowe's supported the United Way with more
than $1.4 million in contributions.
