Adding a fresh coat of paint is an easy and cost-effective way to update any room. And if you’re ready to refresh your space, you’re in luck as Lowe’s just dropped a special-edition Centennial Color Palette in celebration of the brand’s 100th birthday. While you can’t go wrong with classic neutrals like HGTV Home® by Sherwin-Williams “Agreeable Gray,” statement colors can change a room and may even make your space feel authentically you

Lowe’s Centennial Color Palette celebrates 100 years of color, highlighting the quintessential shades from each decade and how they can be used in new and unexpected ways. From the 1920s to the 2010s, these iconic hues remind us that color trends, like fashion, repeat over time.

No one knows iconic colors from the past century better than fellow centenarian and style icon Iris Apfel, whose fashions and interiors reflect a colorful style that is hers alone. With Lowe’s and Apfel both celebrating their 100th birthdays this year, Iris has also curated her own personal palette alongside our Centennial Color Palette to help further inspire you. The colors will appear in Lowe’s House of Curators, where she has created four distinct décor styles by mixing texture, color and pattern across paint, textiles and furnishings.

From a red that represents the glamour of the “roaring 20s” to a mixture of gray and black that reflects the industrialism of the 2010s, we’ll show you how to use these colors and envision your space in a modern and refreshing way.
