The six-time champ gives Lowe’s an exclusive tour of his home away from home as he preps for the third race in NASCAR's Sprint Cup Chase

When he’s not on the track or at home, you’re likely to find Jimmie Johnson at Hendrick Motorsports’ headquarters in Concord, North Carolina. Through a behind-the-scenes tour, Johnson shared a closer look at what takes place leading up to a race as well as a few personal stories.

As he cruised through the 430,000-square-foot facility just down the road from Charlotte Motor Speedway, Johnson shared the story behind why team owner Rick Hendrick “stole” one of his trophies. He also revealed what he likes to watch on TV when he’s at the track and not in the driver’s seat.

Johnson set the pace by walking us through the trophy room, admiring trophies from 76 of his 77 wins. Then he took a lap through the garage, shared a peek inside a hauler, took a quick detour to where his cars get painted and finished at the site where five of his six NASCAR Sprint Cups are on display.

Enjoy the tour!
