From cozying up during cooler temperatures to watching the foliage change colors, there is something special about the fall season.
In fact, studies have found we’re conditioned to love fall from a young age, as we associate it with meaningful experiences and beloved traditions. And after experiencing deferred plans last fall, consumers will be more excited than ever to embrace their favorite season.
To help consumers channel their love and passion for the season into creative action, Lowe’s is debuting the first-ever #FallTogether Collective, a group of ten beloved creators who are coming together to share inspiration and advice on how to make the most of the highly anticipated season in the comfort of their own backyards through creative projects on social media.
Lowe’s is also introducing the #FallTogether Matchmaker Program, where 50 lucky individuals who share their fall aspirations through Lowe’s online questionnaire from August 23 through September 6, Labor Day, will be matched with a #FallTogether Collective creator for bespoke project design, including a virtual one-on-one consultation, custom outdoor project plan and $500 Lowe’s gift card to make their autumnal vision reality!
Need fall inspiration? Here are three easy projects from our #FallTogether Collective members you can complete at your own home that will help create the perfect backdrop for enjoying our favorite fall activities:
Family-Friendly Backyard Campsite
Sopha Rush, a lifestyle and wellness influencer based in Dallas, Texas, looks forward to fall every year as the season to unwind and relax with her family after a busy summer season.
As someone who always dreamed of having a beautiful backyard, Sopha created something special for her kids: a family-friendly campsite in her backyard. Using a tent, fall-inspired inflatables and a firepit, all purchased at Lowe’s, Sopha created a fun outdoor space where the whole family can play, relax and create without ever leaving the backyard.
Ambient Outdoor Lighting
Julia Marcum, creator behind Chris Loves Julia and interior designer meets DIY expert, recently moved to Raleigh, North Carolina with her family and is most excited to get their new outdoor space ready to enjoy those desired southern fall evenings.
Fall is the ideal time to entertain outdoors, and Julia suggests the best way to utilize your outdoor space all day and night ready is adding lighting. It’s always one of the first things she encourages people to think about when designing a space, as it can change an entire mood and provide beautiful dimension. String lights can not only add functionality but add ambiance as well.
Kokedamas Trellis for Many Seasons
Jenny Ong is an inspiring environmental activist, homestead hobbyist and gardening pro based in Los Angeles. Spending more time at home allowed her to become more in touch with her surroundings, and she’s ready to share how to tackle more sustainable projects that allow for reuse of materials and limit waste.
To enjoy the colors of fall florals and prep for spring’s blooms, Jenny created a dual-purpose trellis for her backyard.
First serving as a host to Kokedamas, an ornamental plant that grows within a ball of soil covered in moss, Jenny also leveraged the trellis as a place to plant her spring vegetables.
