Big news for businesses across the globe that are looking to expand – your products could be sold at Lowe’s!
Lowe’s announced a new product-pitching event that will happen in Charlotte, North Carolina later this fall: “Into The Blue: Lowe’s Product Pitch Event”. The two-day, in-person event invites entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes to pitch their products to Lowe’s for the opportunity to sell their products in the company’s stores and on Lowes.com.
The exciting initiative to support entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide was just announced and is already gaining some traction. Sarah Dodd, senior vice president of global merchandising at Lowe’s, told the Charlotte Observer this event is going to big.
“We’ve never done anything to this scale,” Dodd said. “We’re always looking for the new and different. This is just going to be our biggest way yet.”
Try $5 million big. That’s how much Lowe’s plans to invest in purchase orders to the new suppliers who make it to the final round. Businesses big and small are invited, but they all need to bring one thing: a unique product that will serve Lowe’s customers.
“We are inviting businesses of any size to apply for Into the Blue because the more innovative products we uncover, the more solutions we can provide to our customers to make their homes and lives better,” Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Bill Boltz told HBS Dealer.
“We’re always striving to make sure that we have a good representation of vendors that represent and look like the communities that we serve,” Dodd told the Observer. “And sometimes we know it’s hard for businesses to get in front of a big box retailer and have their opportunity to show their new and different items.
This is an opportunity for folks to get in front of us and show us what they have.
If you* have a ready-for-market product you’d like to pitch to Lowe’s, you can enter now! Today through August 14 businesses can apply at Lowes.com/Suppliers. The event will take place on November 2-3 at Lowe’s Tech Hub, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility set to open in Charlotte later this fall.
