A summer of reunions at home

Jul 01, 2021

As the U.S. begins to embrace lighter social restrictions, warmer weather and long, summer days, the desire to surround ourselves with friends and family is stronger than ever. In the spirit of togetherness, Lowe’s is helping consumers gear up for summer’s most anticipated event: reuniting with friends and family.

As consumers prep to reopen their doors to loved ones again, they are not only looking forward to showing off all the hard work they’ve put into their homes over the last year – but also adding the extra special touches that make hosting friends and families all the more memorable. From adding a special Aloe There welcome mat so it’s the first thing they see as they step onto the front porch, to sprucing up the patio so that your whole crew has a place to sit and dine together again, there is so much we can add to our homes to create a warm gathering this year.

In fact, Lowe’s teamed up with a handful of influencers to help them reunion-ready their spaces ahead of long-awaited gatherings this summer. Whether they were introducing their newborn to grandparents for the first time, or enjoying the sunshine with coworkers they’ve only seen via Zoom for the last year, there is so much inspiration and amazing looks you can find in their stories below to help you make the most of your own get-together!

Robert Hartwell makes his brownstone backyard center stage

The native New Yorker, Broadway performer and founder of Broadway Collective already has a knack for sprucing up spaces — he’s currently renovating an 1820s mansion! But now that the city is reopening, Robert couldn’t be more excited to reunite with his coworkers in the backyard of their new office space — a brownstone in NYC. After leaning heavily into the various textures and vibrant colors of one of the season’s top trends, Global-Inspired Gathering, his curation was filled with plush throw pillows, ceramic planters and a stone fire table to complete the look.

PJ and Thomas bring new meaning to 'farm to table' with stunning pavilion makeover

Known as “The Property Lovers,” husbands PJ and Thomas live on a farm in Tennessee and couldn’t wait to host their family after spending months apart. They shared, “After the summer we all had last year, we’ve been looking forward to getting together with our family for a while now. Shopping at Lowe’s for all the essentials to ‘break in’ our pavilion on our farm was extremely easy, affordable, and dare I say even fun?”

The duo leverage their family reunion as the perfect excuse to bring their creative vision for the pavilion to life. They completely transformed it by tapping into the (ever-fitting!) Festive Farmhouse trend, using artificial fern plants and getting creative by turning a grey metal planter into a beverage tub!

“Even though we shop at Lowe’s daily, it’s always nice to know the store you frequent most often still has the power to inspire you into creating a beautiful place the whole family can enjoy.”

Jasmine Crockett creates a safe, chic space to introduce her baby to family and enjoy light bites

The Atlanta-based blogger faced a transformation of her own this year—she became a mom! Jasmine shared just how meaningful it made sprucing up her space: “The experience to design and set up this space knowing the end result would be my family right here with me in person was the best feeling I've felt in a long time. Celebrating special occasions like this via Facetime just isn’t the same and I'm so happy we were able to make this happen with the beautiful pieces from Lowe's.”

Jasmine was inspired by the Modern Mixer curation of summer products and used comfortable, chic pillows, a sleek acacia wood serving board, solar bamboo lanterns and a Yeti cooler to keep refreshments chilled!
