Hundreds of kids participate in community service project during Lowe’s 9th annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
Little hands, big smiles and big hearts filled Lowe’s corporate campuses in Mooresville and Wilkesboro, North Carolina on Thursday. Lowe’s took part in its 9th annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.
As part of the event, hundreds of children visit Lowe’s to learn about the many different roles and jobs it takes to help Lowe’s serve its customers. But not only did many of these sons and daughters get to enjoy their day at Lowe’s learning and having fun, they were also helping bring joy to the lives of thousands of other children in the local community as well.
Four hundred 2nd – 5th graders at the Mooresville campus spent part of the morning putting together 3,500 pencil pouches that will be donated to the United Way. The pouches will then be distributed to local schools, YMCA’s and other groups in need.
