After a 30-year journey, a project that the community eagerly anticipated is finally complete, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Lionel Richie and Lowe's Hometowns. Lionel, a proud native of Tuskegee, Alabama, has brought his personal touch to the project, inaugurating Hello Park - a community green space for residents to gather and connect with nature.

After learning of Lowe's Hometowns, a five-year $100 million initiative to restore and revitalize community spaces across the country, Lionel knew that partnering with the home improvement retailer would be the perfect match for the project so dear to his heart.

When I found out that this is what they do, the answer was to come join me at Hello Park. Their heart, their soul and their abilities are one that I love to call on again and again.

Craig Hill, Lowe's store manager and project captain, collaborated with local community organizations and builders for nearly nine months to help transform Hello Park from an unused plot of land into a beautiful gathering space. The ribbon-cutting event is proof positive that investment in local spaces is essential to a thriving community.

It gives me a lot of pride to work for a company encouraging associates to be active in the community.
