HGTV is once again teaming up with Lowe's for season two of Build It Forward, a series that celebrates Lowe's Hometowns initiative, which completes 100 impact projects in communities across the country.

HGTV is producing Season 2 of the five-part series, hosted by Taniya Nayak and Shane Duffy, highlighting five local heroes who were part of those projects and selected for a surprise home renovation of their dreams from HGTV.

Each episode of Build It Forward will profile a community member and the organization they work with as HGTV's renovation stars come in to lend a hand. Lowe's products, supplies and materials will be used in the home renovations as well as the 100 Hometown projects.

Each of the five one-hour episodes will showcase Lowe's and HGTV's support of the community project and home renovation.

Partners for 26 years, HGTV and Lowe's share a commitment to giving back and community-building, with Lowe's offering support through its products and services and HGTV putting a spotlight on small towns across the country with its inspiring storytelling. Build It Forward is an opportunity to surprise and thank individuals who dedicated their time and effort to creating a lasting impact on their hometowns.

Q&A with Taniya

What can viewers expect on Build it Forward?

Shane Duffy and I are so excited for this new season of Build it Forward! We have some of the most energetic and deserving people that give back to their communities in a huge and very selfless way. We surprise them (and by “surprise”, it’s an ambush!) with a renovation of their own! Most often, those that continuously give back to others, tend to neglect themselves. And we, along with Lowe’s, are here to change that! The makeovers are over the top, and the reactions are heartwarming!

What’s new this year?

This season we go all across the country! Bigger surprises, bigger renovations, and bigger reactions! You can’t help but fall in love with each of our deserving hero’s!

Why did you want to be a part of Season 2?

Giving back is something that is super important to me. And…coincidentally, so is being a designer!  I’m involved with several charitable organizations like No Kid Hungry, Smile Train, Make-A-Wish, Room to Dream, and more! This show is the perfect marriage of two things that I am extremely passionate about! I feel privileged to be able to meet these incredible people that share the same passion as I do and to also work so closely with them! I know that Shane, my contractor and co-host feels the same way!

Q&A with Shane

What are you most looking forward to on Build It Forward, Season 2?

I can't wait for the audience to hear and see the inspiring stories that Taniya and I got to be a part of.   We can all learn from their kindness and willingness to give back to the community.  It definitely motivated and inspired me to put my heart into every renovation project that we did during the show.

What’s different about this home renovation show?

Build It Forward separates itself from other renovation shows by not only doing an impactful renovation for a non-profit that is a keystone of the community but then we find one person within that organization and completely transform their homes by doing a life changing renovation!  It's a double renovation show with double the fun, inspiration, and double the emotions.  During filming Taniya and I kept telling ourselves how lucky we were to be a part of something so special.  It's one thing to donate money to an organization, but it's more personal to be able to give your time and use a skill set that you have to make a change in someone's life. That's what this show is about, paying it forward by building it forward!
