Lowe's recently showcased thousands of products during their product walk at the annual Store Manager's Meeting. The product walk is meant to highlight new and innovative products that will be hitting the store floors this year, as well as provide an engaging platform for learning, but where does that product go after the event?

The focus this year is on Las Vegas, where all the products will be donated to local nonprofits. Alysia Han, community relations manager at Lowe's, revealed that the estimated donation's fair market value amounts to roughly a million dollars in goods. This generous initiative is part of Lowe's dedication to supporting local communities.

One such organization is Help of Southern Nevada. With approximately 25-30 truckloads of donations, Lowe's, in partnership with Help of Southern Nevada, will redistribute these goods to about 150 nonprofits throughout the area. President & CEO of the organization, Fuilala Riley, emphasized their mission to prevent and end homelessness, highlighting how Lowe's donations play a crucial role in helping individuals and families settle into new homes.

Sometimes, folks just need a little bit of help settling into a new place after experiencing homelessness, and sometimes, they need supplies to help maintain their family household, and that's what all these donations from Lowe's make that possible.

The impact of Lowe's support goes beyond the material donations. Riley noted that receiving such significant support from a company like Lowe's is inspiring to all involved. She shares, "Our mission is hard every day, but when we receive support from one entity like Lowe's today, it goes a long way. It's a boost to our morale. It boosts everyone's understanding that if my clients need something, I can look at the warehouse."

With so many large companies coming through Las Vegas for conventions, Faluilia Riley says it's refreshing to see an organization give back to the community when they can. While she says generosity from Lowe's is very much appreciated, it's not exactly surprising.

Our local Lowe's teams are super helpful and supportive to our community, and so it just confirms what we see from our local Lowe's teams: their national and corporate folks think the same of our community as they do.
