Lowe's spouses from various regions come together every year to participate in a heartwarming service project.

This year's effort saw 200 spouses packing over 5,000 kits destined for service members. Chray Robinson, whose husband is a Store Manager in Wheeling, West Virginia, reflects on the impact, saying, "This is just a little something that ties them back home. Someone here back home has packed it for them, taking time out of their day to do it. I think it means more than any of us really know."

In addition to Lowe's spouses, veterans and Lowe's associates actively participated in the project this year. Captain Todd Nichols, a Lowe's aviation department captain and a U.S. Navy veteran with over 21 years of service, shares his experiences of receiving care packages during overseas deployments. "It's just a great reminder that the folks back home were thinking of us and took the time to send us something. It was really meaningful."

Javin Peterson, another contributor to the project and a former recipient of USO care packages, highlights these gestures' seemingly small yet impactful nature. Now a captain in the Lowe's aviation department, the veteran says being able to pay back the kindness shown to him by the USO and volunteers is significant. "Having been a recipient, I know what it means for the folks that we're providing these for. Being a part of the joy that I received and, again, it's just a kind of warm hug from home."

Lowe's is a proud partner of the USO and is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of those who serve in the military.
