Lowe's continues to help those recovering from the Los Angeles area fires. Through its signature project, the Disaster Brigade, associates at the Lowe's of Covina store lined up to stock community members with free supplies like ash sifters, clean up supplies, masks and gloves. Red Vests handed out over 500 heavy-duty totes and hundreds of sandbags to allow people to recover from the impact of the fire and prepare for more rain and potential mudslides.

Dennis Acosta, Lowe's of Covina store manager, says the turnout for the event was above and beyond expectation and community members were extremely grateful.

The latest Bucket Brigade comes on the heels of an initial $2 million pledge to assist first responders and nonprofits responding to critical needs like supporting evacuations and emergency shelters and distributing urgently needed supplies like water, N95 masks, air purifiers, ash sifters, and storage.

Lowe's is committed not only to helping the people effected by the wildfires but also to helping the animals. The company donated pallets of feed to the  Pico Rivera Sports Arena, housing up to 75 horses during the fires.

Lowe's of Chino Hills store manager, Nam Nguyen, was on site to handle the delivery drop. He says the donation was impactful on all sides.

Personally, I am extremely proud of our company to step up and help out. Everyone was so grateful for the help, and I'm grateful to them for helping our community.
