After a tornado struck Nashville and central Tennessee early Tuesday morning, dozens of homes and businesses are damaged and in need of repair. More than 20 people were killed during the severe weather.
Lowe’s is planning community outreach events in areas affected by this tornado to help support its neighbors. Relief events will take place at the six store locations listed to the left on Thursday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. Lowe’s buckets full of supplies as well as meals will be given out to those in need, while supplies last.
The Lowe’s of Lebanon still stands, but its towering sign was ripped from the building exterior and sprawled across the parking lot. Two other Lowe’s stores in Tennessee also suffered damage, but all three remain open so customers can access the supplies they need to begin cleaning up. All Lowe’s stores are equipped with backup generators in case of power loss.
Lowe’s Emergency Command Center based in Mooresville, North Carolina quickly began working to send critical supplies like batteries, chainsaws, tarps, flashlights and rakes to impacted areas.
Lowe’s will continue to work with associates affected to provide financial support through the Lowe’s Employee Relief Fund.
