As senior vice president, tax and chief accounting officer, Clay Griggs is responsible for overseeing Lowe’s accounting and tax operations, in addition to external financial reporting and compliance. He re-joined Lowe’s in 2019, after having worked for Lowe’s from 2005 to 2015.

Clay has more than 21 years of experience in accounting. Most recently, he served as vice president, chief accounting officer. Previously, he served as vice president, corporate controller, where he led technical accounting and financial reporting. Before re-joining Lowe’s, he served as vice president, corporate accounting and director, technical accounting with CommScope Inc. Prior to CommScope, he served in multiple finance roles with Lowe’s, including director, corporate accounting.

Clay is a licensed CPA. He earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an MBA from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
