
As senior vice president and general merchandising manager, home décor, Dean Schwartz is responsible for merchandising strategies for paint, flooring, décor, kitchen and bath, and appliances. He joined Lowe’s in 2019.
Dean has more than 30 years of experience in retail merchandising. Prior to his current role, he was the merchandising vice president for appliances. Before joining Lowe’s, he served as the president and business unit leader of hardlines of Sears Holdings Corp., where he was responsible for the short-term and long-term strategic decisions for the largest business unit in the company. He previously held several leadership roles within Sears, including vice president and general merchandise manager for lawn & garden, divisional merchandise manager for home appliances, and multiple buying, merchandising, and marketing roles within various hardlines businesses.
Dean earned a bachelor’s degree from Judson University in business administration/ organizational leadership. He is currently serving on the advisory committee for Lowe’s PAC and is an active mentor for multiple merchant leaders at Lowe’s.
