As division president, Joel Cogdell owns and is accountable for the execution of the sales, service and operational components of Lowe's strategy across the South division. He joined Lowe’s in 2018.
Joel has 20 years of experience in retail leadership, including store operations and asset protection. Most recently, Joel served as regional vice president for the Charlotte area. He also served as regional vice president for the Atlanta area, and prior to that, as a district manager, supported stores during the Hurricane Michael recovery efforts. Before joining Lowe’s, he served as district manager with Home Depot Inc. Previously, he served Target Corp. for 11 years in a variety of roles, including leading the southeast region’s operations and assets protection teams.
Joel earned an associate degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Devry University. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council.
