As senior vice president, external affairs, Reginald Henderson collaborates with key stakeholders to establish strategic priorities while directing comprehensive engagement initiatives that advance Lowe's global interests, through targeted relationships with policymakers, industry associations, business coalitions and advocacy organizations. He also oversees the company’s sustainability strategy. He joined Lowe's in 2007.

Reginald has more than 20 years of expertise in crafting and implementing legal strategies that address critical business objectives. As Lowe's vice president of government affairs, he oversaw relationships with elected and appointed officials, regulators, and policymakers at the local, state, federal and international levels. He has also led Lowe's talent function as senior vice president, talent management, and served as vice president, associate general counsel. Prior to Lowe's, Reginald held several leadership positions at BNSF Railway Company, The Watkins Law Office, and the U.S. Department of Labor, where he led human resources compliance, equal opportunity and internal investigation functions.  

Reginald earned a bachelor's degree in politics from Hendrix College, a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas, and a master's in labor and employment law from Georgetown University. In North Carolina, he is a member of the board of directors for the N.C. Chamber of Commerce and the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, as well as the CLT Alliance Foundation. Reginald also serves on the board of advisors for UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business and the North Carolina State University Institute for Emerging Issues, and is a member of the Dean's Executive Advisory Board at Johnson C. Smith University.
