Lowe’s helped raise funds to support the Las Vegas community following the tragedy at Mandalay Bay
Following the Las Vegas mass shooting at Mandalay Bay, local Lowe’s stores came together to show their support for the community. On Friday, the Spring Valley Las Vegas store hosted a community event to help raise funds that would support the victims and their families. The event included live music, product giveaways from each local Lowe’s store, food trucks, face painting and many other activities. Brandy Morrow, Lowe’s HR manager, was the organizer of this event.
“Six employees attended the festival that night and many other employees had friends or loved ones there. We have supported our employees during this difficult time, but we also wanted our community to know that we are here to support them as well.” said Leslie Duewiger, Lowe’s store manager. “This event was really an opportunity to come together and show how strong Las Vegas truly is.”
The day after the shooting, Lowe’s stores in Las Vegas brought palettes of water and snacks to hundreds of people waiting in line to donate blood.
