The mission of the Brookings Public Library is to inspire curiosity and discovery, advance knowledge, and strengthen the Brookings community through diverse and inclusive collections, services, and programs. Through the Lowe’s Hometown Grant program, the Library will give a much-needed update to shelving in both the Children’s Area and the Teen Space, while also creating a distinctive and engaging experience in each area with visual updates. These updates will ensure children, families, and teens have safe, welcoming, and engaging spaces at the Brookings Public Library.

Breakthrough has provided shelter, food, education, youth development, employment support, and behavioral health services in East Garfield Park for over 25 years, serving more than 20,000 individuals annually. With support from the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the Breakthrough FamilyPlex will undergo renovations, including resealed gym flooring, new wall padding, and fresh paint in several classrooms and community spaces. These upgrades will create a safer, more engaging environment for educational programs and activities for youth and families.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady enables and inspires all children, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. With the Lowe's Hometowns grant, the organization will be beautifying and making several locations throughout the Rotterdam Club safer by updating restrooms, adding all new flooring, and painting virtually every program space.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County Club has been a beacon of hope in Monmouth County, providing safe places where young minds are nurtured to reach their fullest potential for over 86 years. The organization's singular focus on youth development allows it to effect profound change in the lives of the children it serves, building a community where they can explore their interests in a safe and affirming environment. With the Lowe’s Hometown grant, the Club will make crucial interior renovations including new flooring throughout.

Adapt Movement is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people with neurological conditions—such as ALS, spinal cord injuries, and MS—regain strength, independence, and quality of life through movement-based therapy. With support from Lowe’s Hometowns, the organization will transform a stark concrete courtyard into a vibrant, accessible space where clients can experience the healing power of aquatic therapy. This transformation will provide a safe and welcoming environment that supports physical recovery, emotional well-being, and meaningful connection for both clients and their caregivers.

The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will enable McNeilly Center for Children to build a Pavilion that will create a space for play and physical activities in inclement weather. The multi-purpose outdoor pavilion will also provide a gathering space for events such as the annual Parent Fair which exposes parents in need to community resources and healthy living options.

The Community Free Clinic provides comprehensive healthcare and pharmacy services to low-income uninsured adults of Cabarrus County. With their Lowe's Hometowns Grant, the organization will install new flooring, ceiling tiles, and a new pharmacy door. Fresh paint and other improvements will allow them to continue to provide these necessary health services for the town’s residents.

A community center that provides a broad range of vital services including a food pantry, baby pantry, women’s pantry, senior’s pantry, a special needs program for autistic children and a monthly community health and wellness fair with free medical services has seen a surge of residents needing support. The center wishes to repair and renovate its aging, damaged space so it can increase the number of people it’s able to serve.

A lodge that offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for treatment requires traveling to the area seeks assistance in expanding and renovating its space, so that it can continue to offer its valuable services, providing a home away from home to the patients and families when they need it the most.

A community center wishes to finalize renovations of its building which was damaged during floods so that it can engage community members with programming and events and be a central piece in building a stronger community. The improvements to the building will ensure equitable access to community groups for many different types of events, and a permanent location for a much-needed senior center.
