The Milton Volunteer Fire Department community room provides an affordable space for community events, and more. Renovations through Lowe's Hometowns will include new flooring, wall coverings, acoustic ceilings in the restrooms, a concrete parking area and new storage room for the fire department. The project will be completed in partnership with Cabell County Career Technology Center’s Carpentry program.

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office processes approximately 13,000 releases for individuals returning into the community from incarceration each year. Renovations and upgrades through Lowe's Hometowns will help transform the current lobby into a one-stop resource center for individuals to successfully transition back into the community and connect to wrap-around services and support.

Laury's Station Fire Company No. 1 will have their space upgraded with new bathrooms, a new entry way and kitchen in the station's social hall. As a second home to many members, the renovation through Lowe's Hometowns will create an even more welcoming space for volunteers who choose to selflessly serve their community.

This Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Fire Company plans to bring a local firehouse into the 21st century via key structural and aesthetic renovations to increase accessibility and energy conservation while transforming an ill-placed kitchen that also serves as the firehouse's public entrance. Needs include ensuring the facility is ADA compliant, eliminating rodent infestation, creating more space, storage and power outlets.

The Webber Township Fire Protection District Volunteers is requesting materials to update their current training/meeting facility. The project would include paint, flooring, trim work, cabinets with sink, microwave and range, updated bathrooms with new units and fixtures, new interior doors and overall organization of the area including adding shelving, desks, blinds, chairs, tables, a couch and whiteboards.
