The Place, a grocery store-style food pantry operated by Southeast Connecticut Community Land Trust, serves community members throughout the day, evenings and weekends. The Lowe's Hometowns project will support renovations of the ‘food wing' which will include painting and replacing the flooring in the kitchen and hallway, installing a commercial stove and oven, and replacing the walk-in cooler. These updates will create space for community nutrition classes and help serve even more families and individuals.

StarkFresh's Food Justice Campus houses a neighborhood-sized grocery store in an area of town that previously had no affordable food access. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the organization will make updates and repairs to the exterior, including replacing roof shingles, repairing and painting brick walls, repairing storm-damaged windows, and improving fencing, will make this campus an even more vibrant beacon of community.

In 2023, The Food Brigade Inc. fed 77,908 North Jersey residents from its three existing pantry locations in Bergen and Hudson Counties. With the Lowe's Hometowns grant, the facility will be upgraded with flooring, wall repairs, paint, lighting, signage, ADA ramps and furniture, enabling The Food Brigade to help even more of their neighbors in need.

Anoka County Brotherhood Council (ACBC Food Shelf)

Anoka County Brotherhood Council (ACBC Food Shelf) is the largest food pantry in Anoka County and has been providing food, clothing and resources to people in need for more than 50 years. The Lowe's Hometowns project will increase capacity at the facility to meet growing community needs. The renovation will include a reception desk, fresh paint, carpeting, seating and window treatments, as well as locked storage cabinets and literature racks.

Truth Foundational Ministries CDC

The volunteers of Truth Foundational Ministries work to support the community of Edgecombe County that has limited access to affordable and nutritious food. By upgrading a 10-ft. building with an ADA compliant bathroom, kitchenette, office space and closet with storage, the organization can provide better access to healthy, fresh food for this community in need.

In order to become a sustainable food source for its community, the All Saints Episcopal Church Woodstock Pantry will outfit three food storage containers with electricity, appliances, shelving and lighting. Exterior upgrades include building a permanent patio covering, concrete work, landscaping and paint.

The updated New Franklin Park’s Community Corner will address the deep need for food stability among Dorchester residents and the broader community. This project will renovate the Community Corner to bring it up to compliance and create a welcoming space with more food storage to ensure fewer households in the community suffer from food insecurity.

After more than 15 years at its current location, the Community Food Basket - Idaho Falls is moving to a larger facility to allow them to better serve thousands of community members with food insecurities. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will provide the necessary building renovations to allow the food pantry to operate in this new space, including installation of double doors, a usable loading/unloading area, new floors, and a new food donation shed with power and heat for after-hours food donation drop-offs.

The Aberdeen Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry has a project with multiple critical repairs and improvements, including a parking lot revamp to improve accessibility, fresh paint on the exterior of the building, replacement gutter system, new pallet fence, addition of cyclone fence around secured back area, replaced glass entry door, renovated Client Intake Area and Office Area, the addition of metal sheets to the back warehouse area and additional lighting.
