Whitman-Walker Health provides comprehensive and inclusive primary medical care, behavioral health care, dental care, family support services, and a range of health-related legal and support services to nearly 20,000 individuals and families annually in the greater Washington, D.C. region. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the health center will partner with Capital Area Food Bank to renovate an on-site Food Pharmacy at its Max Robinson Center.

The Stewpot’s Neighbor-Choice Pantry provides high-quality, client-centered food assistance in South Dallas, enabling low-income families and individuals to redirect limited resources toward essentials like housing, healthcare, and transportation. With Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the Stewpot will renovate its pantry space. These essential repairs and improvements will increase the efficiency of the pantry, enhance safety and cleanliness, and dignify the shopping experience for neighbors in need of nourishing food and essential supplies.

The Shepherd's House Homeless Shelter & Helping Hands Food Pantry

The Greater Mt. Airy Ministry of Hospitality and its sister agencies, the Shepherd’s House and Helping Hands provide housing, food, and resources to those in need. Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will help renovate two bathrooms and the oil furnaces and air conditioning units. Completion of this project will allow the expansion of outreach to previously unserved homeless and food insecure populations, increasing our agencies service delivery to an estimated 25% more individuals.

St John's Baptist Church Inwood NY- Food Pantry

The food pantry at St. John’s Baptist Church strengthens families and supports neighborhood well-being by providing food access, youth engagement, education programs, and community-centered opportunities for connection and economic empowerment. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will upgrade restrooms, improve pantry storage and distribution space, refresh gathering areas used for community programming, and prepare the site for a community garden partnership with a nearby pre-K.

The Maltby Food Bank’s mission is to provide food, stability, and community support to residents of Snohomish/King County. With support from the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, we will remodel our upstairs space by updating flooring, expanding the kitchen area, and replacing outdated bathroom and laundry facilities. These improvements will create a warm, multipurpose gathering space that offers refuge during emergencies and supports year-round community programs for our growing population.

Joshua's Heart Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit that has fought food insecurity across Miami-Dade County for over 20 years, distributing more than 9 million pounds of food to over 750,000 individuals while developing the next generation of community leaders. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, its North Miami Beach pantry will expand its cold storage capacity, allow us to accept and distribute more nutritious donations to the thousands of food-insecure families who rely on the organization’s pantry.

With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will complete the Food Insecurity Shared Hub (F.I.S.H.) alongside nonprofit partners. These improvements will expand capacity to recover and distribute food in real time, strengthening a collaborative network that increases access to nutritious meals.
