ReNforce supports justice-impacted women through housing, workforce development, and healing-centered reentry services. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, Redemption House will transform its outdoor space by rebuilding storm-damaged fencing, screening in the back patio, and creating a healing garden and gathering area. These improvements will offer safety, dignity, and connection—restoring not just a space, but hope and belonging for women reentering their communities.

City of Refuge Dalton exists to reach and restore individuals by providing transitional housing, domestic violence services, workforce development, education, and other support services. With the Lowe’s Hometown grant, we will complete the educational and workforce development wing - adding a kitchenette for student meals and classrooms for job training, financial literacy, and life skills coaching.

Established in 1968 by Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, also known as The King Center, has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over 25 years. Through Lowe's Hometowns the Freedom Walkway, on the campus of The King Center, will be refreshed, repaired and cleaned to offer visitors an educational, inspiring and empowering experience with the awarding of a Lowe's Hometowns grant.

The Team Up Elementary Program Space will create a safe space for youth and caregivers to relax and find healing from depression and anxiety associated with trauma exposure. This project will include a positive message mural, a new outdoor space, and a dedicated space for teens who need to find peace in their day.

Status: Home provides homeless and low-income individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS in the Greater Atlanta area with a continuum of housing options, supportive services, and educational opportunities. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will be used to renovate the historic three-story residential facility, which features 23 individual efficiency apartments and common spaces.

Madison Morgan Community Garden

This project entails the total buildout of the Madison Morgan Community Garden's Fifth Street Community Garden, enabling the organization to be fully operational. Activities to complete the garden include installing an irrigation system, adding fencing and gates and building 30-40 raised beds, some of which will be ADA accessible for wheelchairs and walkers.The project would includ purchase soil, gardening tools and hoses for use by the community, developing ground cover and creating work tables and seating.

A housing facility for female veterans that provides transitional housing, career training, mental health counseling, life skills classes and education programs that put homeless service women back on the path to independence and self-sufficiency seeks assistance in completing construction that will allow the organization to open its doors. Once it does, the facility will be able to provide temporary housing for up to 14 homeless female veterans at a time.

A nonprofit organization aimed at providing minority youth leadership development, mentoring, and academic support through mental health initiatives and youth entrepreneurship training seeks to renovate a house to serve as its headquarters. The house will create a hub for the organization to have a needed safe space for program participants to meet for planned and structured activities, community service initiatives and other endeavors. Members of the youth organization plan to pitch in to do the renovation work.
