Through Lowe's Hometowns, Nashville Classical Charter School West’s campus will receive a new playground and enhancements to their outdoor area, including ADA picnic tables, new trees, cement and a mural. This inviting and dynamic space for kindergarten to sixth grade students and their families will be a beautiful space to gather and feel proud of their community.

Restoration Pointe Nashville operates in a historic church that serves as a homeless shelter and a hub for community care including free clothing, food and more. Through Lowe's Hometowns, renovations to this facility will allow for a women’s shelter in the area, helping thousands of Nashville's most vulnerable individuals and truly help restore a sense of pride and community to a place that does so much for the city of Nashville.

Franklin County Humane Society known as Animal Harbor

Franklin County Humane Society, also known as Animal Harbor, transitioned their facility from an old cattle barn to a new facility in 2014. The Lowe's Hometowns project will enclose the front porch to become a foyer, convert an old garage currently used for storage into a multipurpose room, replace old washers, add furniture, paint and a mural to help Animal Harbor care for even more rescued pets.

Dream Streets TN (West Nashville Dream Center)

The Dream Streets's vision for the James R Brown building is to provide transitional housing for 48 individuals, couples and families. Updates and repairs through the Lowe's Hoometowns project will help the housing facility become functional - renovations include new windows, paint, exterior repairs, shelving, locker installation, landscaping and patios. The facility will serve a city facing a housing crisis and protect and empower the individuals and families served.

Campbell County Children's Center

The Campbell County Children’s Center is a lifeline for abused children who are transitioning into a new home through the court system. The center currently relies on a microwave and food delivery for meals. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will help construct a brand-new kitchen space with new flooring, cabinets, countertops and appliances that will allow the center to serve hot, nourishing meals for children during their stay at the center.

The Village at Glencliff

The Village at Glencliff provides people experiencing homelessness a dignified place to recover after hospitalization. Renovations and upgrades will allow a new community room to serve as an occupational therapy space. A brand new garden shed will serve as both a recreational club room and a tornado shelter with access for medically vulnerable residents.

McNeilly Center for Children

The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will enable McNeilly Center for Children to build a Pavilion that will create a space for play and physical activities in inclement weather. The multi-purpose outdoor pavilion will also provide a gathering space for events such as the annual Parent Fair which exposes parents in need to community resources and healthy living options.

The Room in the Inn, a single site of service for those experiencing homelessness, was designed to accommodate 50 people. Now, more than 200 individuals rely on the organization daily. This project will make updates to the building to create a welcome environment where the community can connect to services that help reach long-term solutions.

Nations Ministry Center

The Nations Ministry Center provides legal immigration services to refugees including citizenship application filings, housing and literacy/education assistance. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will fund the installation of a new kitchen at the center, including floors, cabinets, countertops, lighting and more.

Backfield in Motion

Backfield in Motion focuses on education through mastery of literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth that leads to a high school diploma, a foundation for higher education, and the on-job skills needed to enter the world of work. The organization uses athletics as an incentive for academic improvement and is in dire need of a renovation to the building they've worked out of since the 1950s. Project plans include painting the gym, classrooms, bathrooms and the gym floor, as well as replacing worn stage curtains.
