YWCA Utah has been serving the community for over 120 years, providing safety, shelter, and supportive services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, including nearly 30 years of operating transitional housing for survivors. This project will renovate the Kathleen Robison Huntsman Apartments by replacing flooring, updating paint and lighting, and improving shared indoor and outdoor spaces. These improvements will create a safe, dignified, and welcoming environment where survivors and their children can heal, rebuild, and move forward.

Family Support Center protects children, strengthens families, and prevents child abuse through education, crisis support, and essential resources, including LifeStart Village, a 37-unit transitional housing community, where single parents and their children rebuild after homelessness, domestic violence, and crisis. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, LifeStart Village will refresh residential units and establish a community garden where residents grow fresh food together.

The INN Between’s mission is to end the cycle of individuals dying on the streets by providing compassionate medical respite and end-of-life care to those experiencing homelessness. With support from Lowe’s Hometowns, The INN Between will repaint and refinish resident rooms to create a more welcoming and dignified healing environment. These upgrades will improve quality of life for residents and reinforce the value of every human life—regardless of housing status.

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Utah is expanding into an old school building and will become a community campus with 10+ nonprofits working together to serve more children. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the space will be renovated with new flooring, plumbing, cabinets, wall coverings and HVAC. The expanded space will help the organization provide STEM and arts and crafts areas to help children foster critical thinking and creativity.

The Asian Association of Utah supports victims of human trafficking, refugees and asylum seekers. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will fund renovations to classrooms, offices and the mental health clinic, helping to expand services to refugees and victims of human trafficking in the community.

The Salt Lake City Corps Community Center serves as a food pantry. With original flooring from 1947, the multi-purpose gym and stage areas will be updated and repairs to make the essential space more welcoming and efficient for community, family, youth, volunteers as well as visitors and donors.

United Way of Utah County is growing rapidly and needs additional areas for individuals and families to congregate during programming. A portion of the project will provide outdoor space and a portion of the project will improve indoor space, providing a comfortable space where parents can meet and connect with each other while children are participating in programs.

An International Rescue Committee chapter that provides immigration program services that aim to meet the needs of newly arrived refugees and new Americans wishes to improve and increase its services. To do so, the organization hopes to make use of an underused outdoor area, transforming it into a multi-use classroom, effectively doubling client-meeting capacity so it can serve more people than ever before.
