USO Camp Grayling provides a comfortable recreational space for service members at Camp Grayling, the largest National Guard training facility in the U.S. This project will renovate the community center and allow service members an environment for games, events and entertainment, as well as wi-fi service to connect with their families at home.

Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department

The Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department is working to create an ADA accessible and compliant business office. Electric, framing, removing garage doors, and adding windows would all transform this space. An additional benefit of the project will allow for a day room and training room for the firefighters in the vacated office space upstairs.

Truth Foundational Ministries CDC

The volunteers of Truth Foundational Ministries work to support the community of Edgecombe County that has limited access to affordable and nutritious food. By upgrading a 10-ft. building with an ADA compliant bathroom, kitchenette, office space and closet with storage, the organization can provide better access to healthy, fresh food for this community in need.

Trout Ponds Park

The Trout Ponds Park is the recreational heart of the Newark Valley community and is currently suffering from structural and safety issues. This project includes new pavilions, a gazebo and walking bridge, grills, public restrooms and environmentally friendly drinking fountains. A new marquee and gates at the park entrance will welcome the community.

After curbside recycling was eliminated due to rising costs, residents in the town of Tilton now bring their recycling to the Department of Public Works (DPW). This project will expand the facility, including flooring, walls and a baler to compact materials and to create a system that will allow residents to fully participate in recycling efforts.

THRIVE Peninsula

THRIVE served 18,000 people last year with emergency financial assistance, financial coaching, and food pantry services out of a 2,500 square foot office building. To increase capacity, THRIVE will renovate a new headquarters with a new roof, siding, paint and signage to be a central hub of aid, serving approximately 30,000 residents per year.

The Woodstock Pantry

In order to become a sustainable food source for its community, the All Saints Episcopal Church Woodstock Pantry will outfit three food storage containers with electricity, appliances, shelving and lighting. Exterior upgrades include building a permanent patio covering, concrete work, landscaping and paint.

The Village at Glencliff

The Village at Glencliff provides people experiencing homelessness a dignified place to recover after hospitalization. Renovations and upgrades will allow a new community room to serve as an occupational therapy space. A brand new garden shed will serve as both a recreational club room and a tornado shelter with access for medically vulnerable residents.

The Salvation Army of Savannah addresses housing instability, which becomes more pressing year after year. This 24-hour operation that helps so many will receive painting, kitchen improvements, a welcoming entryway as well as a new playground.
