Peace Tree Parks began with a mission to increase resident's access to fresh produce. The inspiration behind this project is introducing "Agriculture Technology" to the urban farming scene in Detroit and serve as a hub for agriculture and STEM education. The Lowe's Hometowns project includes construction of the Hybrid Market, including building a pavilion, a shipping container kitchen and landscaping.

Mayo Street Arts (MSA) is a neighborhood community arts center located in Portland's East Bayside neighborhood. The Lowe's Hometowns project will include critical repairs to enhance energy efficiency, including updates to windows, new insulation, HVAC and a new water heater. Exterior updates to drainage, rotting window sills, trim and siding will also be made to refresh the 134-year-old building. Energy efficiency will be increased with new insulation, HVAC and a water heater.

Pivot, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that works with youth ages 12 to 24 who have aged out of the foster care system overcome barriers such as homelessness. Through the Lowe's Hometowns project, the exterior of the building will be refreshed, updated to clearly identify points of entry and provide dignity to those who enter. The building will be power washed, painted and ADA railings, new awnings and signs will be added so that individuals can enter and find care and assistance easily.

Since its founding in 1933, Lochland has been a nurturing haven, enabling individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. The Lowe's Hometowns project will enhance residents' experience by constructing three ADA ramps, installing new floors, lights and new windows. Outside, brickwork on the patio will be leveled and planters added that help will create community connections and therapeutic gardening opportunities.

LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc.

Following the 2016 Pulse Nightclub tragedy, The LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. became the hub for not only the LGBTQ community, but for everyone. The organization offers free services to youth and seniors, including health screenings, mental health counseling and more. The Lowe's Hometowns project includes updates to the building including a ramp, ADA doors, roof repair, carpet, exterior lighting, structural repairs, interior and exterior paint and new cubicles.

Through Lowe's Hometowns, the PODER HQ outdoor plaza will receive a community mural and landscaping as a symbol of all the vital, inspiring work that is being done. PODER’s deep commitment to Spanish-speaking immigrants, newly arrived migrants, and Latino/Hispanic residents with integrated English and career pathway programming will be reflected in this powerful mural.

Laury's Station Fire Company No. 1 will have their space upgraded with new bathrooms, a new entry way and kitchen in the station's social hall. As a second home to many members, the renovation through Lowe's Hometowns will create an even more welcoming space for volunteers who choose to selflessly serve their community.

Promise Community Homes serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through Lowe's Hometowns, this life changing facility will be made more accessible by updating pathways, moving and replacing trees, shrubs and signage, updating lighting and installing benches. All these changes will make it easier for those with disabilities to safely get to the community center for activities and connection.

Jean’s Angels helps over 1,500 veterans, homeless individuals, senior citizens and youth monthly. The Lowe's Hometowns project will help Jean's Angels achieve their vision to repurpose, operate and fully staff a building to provide outreach services. The project will help build a 1,000 square foot addition to the current building.

The Lowe's Hometowns project will updates and improve exterior landscaping and structures at Burnside Station Apartments and Station 162 apartments, which will improve accessibility, and further their mission to see every person with a severe disability have access to affordable housing, personal independence and a life without barriers.
