Adaptive Performance Center works to eliminate veteran suicide by creating a safe and supportive environment for active military, veterans and their families to connect through fitness, physical therapy and mentorship. The Lowe's Hometowns project will make critical repairs to the facility including repairing floors, walls, roof and windows, as well as create more community space for members to gather.

A Brighter Day Outreach provides programs to help youth develop de-escalation and communication strategies with the goal of disrupting the school-to-prison cycle. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will fund the installation of an onsite food pantry, with a prefabricated trailer, pavers, plants, lighting and furniture. This will be the first food pantry within the Historic Hoskins community.

A Better World exists to deliver help and hope to at-risk youth in West Charlotte. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will support a facility makeover that will include paint, lighting, desks, chairs and smart classroom technology in the Better World's computer lab. The renovation will create an environment that not only facilitates learning but also shows students how valued they are.

15 LOVE serves families by providing free programming for children, like tennis lessons, healthy living, gardening, STEM and college prep. The Lowe's Hometowns project will refurbish the 13-year-old garden with a freshly painted fence, newly laid garden beds, walkways, awning and storage. The refresh will help 7,500 students each year access healthy living and gardening lessons.
