Off the Street Club is Chicago’s oldest youth center and offers the children of Garfield Park neighborhood a safe place to laugh, dream and reach their full potential. Whether shooting hoops, engaging in one-on-one mentoring or laughing over games, the organization creates a sanctuary where kids can leave their worries behind and envision and achieve a brighter future. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will help Off the Street Club replace windows and complete critical masonry repairs to ensure the building is a safe, more comfortable and welcoming environment for the children it serves.

The ourBRIDGE for KIDS' Charlotte is Home Center will expand the community’s ability to welcome and guide newcomers as they start anew in the United States. The Lowe's Hometowns project will add an accessible entrance and update carpet, tile, flooring, paint, doors and hardware. Security and new signage will also be added.

Mayo Street Arts (MSA) is a neighborhood community arts center located in Portland's East Bayside neighborhood. The Lowe's Hometowns project will include critical repairs to enhance energy efficiency, including updates to windows, new insulation, HVAC and a new water heater. Exterior updates to drainage, rotting window sills, trim and siding will also be made to refresh the 134-year-old building. Energy efficiency will be increased with new insulation, HVAC and a water heater.

Following the 2016 Pulse Nightclub tragedy, The LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. became the hub for not only the LGBTQ community, but for everyone. The organization offers free services to youth and seniors, including health screenings, mental health counseling and more. The Lowe's Hometowns project includes updates to the building including a ramp, ADA doors, roof repair, carpet, exterior lighting, structural repairs, interior and exterior paint and new cubicles.

Jean’s Angels helps over 1,500 veterans, homeless individuals, senior citizens and youth monthly. The Lowe's Hometowns project will help Jean's Angels achieve their vision to repurpose, operate and fully staff a building to provide outreach services. The project will help build a 1,000 square foot addition to the current building.

The Lowe's Hometowns project will updates and improve exterior landscaping and structures at Burnside Station Apartments and Station 162 apartments, which will improve accessibility, and further their mission to see every person with a severe disability have access to affordable housing, personal independence and a life without barriers.

QUEERSPACE collective understands how important it is for LGBTQ teens to have a community as they navigate into adulthood. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the construction of a community hangout space for LGBTQIA+ youth including a main gathering space, lounge and kitchen will create a home for youth to meet, collaborate and feel safe and seen.

The Lowe's Hometowns project will complete essential work for a neighborhood child care center that provides affordable care for low-income families. Repairs include renovating drinking fountains, kitchen cabinets, painting, repaired floors, electrical and repairing bathrooms.
