Taste Project’s mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community through a pay-what-you-can community cafe that restores dignity and creates opportunities for people experiencing food insecurity. Lowe’s Community Impact Grant funding will support critical renovations at Taste Community Restaurant in Fort Worth. These improvements will provide a safer, more welcoming, and more dignified space where neighbors can share meals, apprentices can build skills, and the community can gather around fresh food and connection.

Founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Swannanoa Communities Together strengthens community and facilitates long-term recovery by providing free, accessible space and essential resources for neighbors to connect, learn, and heal. SCT is expanding a trusted disaster recovery hub into a vibrant community center and public garden, providing food and resource access, classrooms, and office space for providers. The Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will create a permanent, accessible space that strengthens long-term recovery by enabling neighbors to build community connections.

The Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission provides essential park and recreation services to 30,000 residents across three municipalities, fostering community health and environmental stewardship. With Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will revitalize its community center with new flooring, a repaired gymnasium, refreshed kitchenette/art room, update entrances and restrooms.

ShareHouse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive addiction recovery and mental health services that support individuals in building stable, healthy lives. With support from Lowe’s, the organization will construct two outdoor green spaces featuring gazebos, patios, and landscaping to create welcoming environments for reflection and connection. These improvements will provide restorative spaces for clients and staff, strengthening recovery outcomes and supporting the overall well-being of our community.

Roswell Organization for Community Development’s mission is to preserve the historical aspects of the neighborhood, which includes the renovation of historic buildings, including the 155-year-old historic Zion Missionary Baptist Church. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the empowerment center will completely transform the interior of the building These renovations will provide a much-needed space for expanding community food giveaways, conducting meetings, wedding and establishing educational venues.

Pretend City Children’s Museum is an early childhood hub that introduces young children to the world through imaginative, interactive, play‑based learning while supporting parents in understanding their child’s development and connecting them to community resources when needed. With support from the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Pretend City will upgrade essential equipment and tools. The investment will help safeguard a beloved community asset and ensure that Pretend City remains a welcoming place where imagination flourishes, families connect, and future leaders begin to thrive.

Portland Community Reinvestment Initiatives (PCRI)’s mission is to provide affordable housing and culturally specific services that promote family stability, self‑sufficiency, and wealth creation for communities in North and Northeast Portland. With support from the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant program, PCRI will replace an unsafe playground with new play equipment, accessible safety surfacing, perimeter fencing, landscaping, and seating at the Maya Angelou Apartments and Albina Head Start site.

In rural Maryland, three local non-profit community organizations – Our Town Theatre, the Mountain Laurel Garden Club and Community Works Garrett County – are partnering together on a project to benefit the community. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organizations will renovate and restore the Jane Avery Memorial Garden - which was intended to honor the lives of children who died too soon. These renovations will make the Memorial Garden a welcome retreat for family and community members.

The North Sioux City Dakota Valley Recreation Complex is home to local youth baseball, softball, and football facilities. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the complex will repair significant damage caused by the devastating flooding that occurred during the summer of 2024. These repairs will bring to completion the flood recovery and allow area youth to be able to again fully enjoy our once beautiful complex.

For more than 70 years, New Horizons: Serving Individuals with Special Needs has advanced the rights and life choices of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Los Angeles County through high-quality, innovative, and personalized services. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will renovate the backyard of its Troy Binder Residential Home to include accessible pathways, recreation spaces, shaded picnic areas, and tranquil outdoor features.
