A job acceleration program that provides on-the-job training for adults with intellectual disabilities is seeking assistance in completing construction on its operational hub where they offer training in 30 different job skills—from restaurants to animal care and help patrons find meaningful employment.

The Ted Phea Boys & Girls Club in East Lubbock seeks to renovate its oldest facility. The club gives children a safe and positive place to go every day after school and all summer long, and remodeling the library to add computers will help children ages 6-12 participate in the Stride Reading program, which will keep them reading on grade level or help them get caught up. 

An organization of African American women that has always sought to bring women together to serve the underserved, strengthen the community and provide avenues for volunteerism, civic activism, education, and cultural enlightenment seeks to bring its building up to code and in step with area development.
