For more than 20 years, Amberly’s Place has served as the only family advocacy center serving the Yuma and surrounding communities. With the Lowes Community Impact Grant, the organization will build an outdoor patio with shade, furniture, and swing set. These enhancements will offer a safe place for victims of abuse to get fresh air, stretch their legs, all while still being in a safe environment.

Alianza has been providing emergency, confidential shelter to domestic violence victims since 1980. With the Lowe’s Community Impact grant, the agency will renovate the shelter’s communal kitchen with new flooring, storage cabinets, appliances, lighting, paint, and kitchen furniture. These renovations will create a warm and inviting space for residents to gather, socialize, and prepare meals, and will preserve the shelter's useful life.

Pivot, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that works with youth ages 12 to 24 who have aged out of the foster care system overcome barriers such as homelessness. Through the Lowe's Hometowns project, the exterior of the building will be refreshed, updated to clearly identify points of entry and provide dignity to those who enter. The building will be power washed, painted and ADA railings, new awnings and signs will be added so that individuals can enter and find care and assistance easily.

Veterans Community Project Sioux Falls

Veterans Community Project of Sioux Falls builds housing solutions for veterans in the Sioux Falls area. The Lowe's Hometowns project will help complete five tiny homes through occupancy and another five homes through to the drywall phase. These homes, along with the organization's services, will play a pivotal role in providing shelter and support for veterans who have served our country.

The Village at Glencliff

The Village at Glencliff provides people experiencing homelessness a dignified place to recover after hospitalization. Renovations and upgrades will allow a new community room to serve as an occupational therapy space. A brand new garden shed will serve as both a recreational club room and a tornado shelter with access for medically vulnerable residents.

The Salvation Army of Amarillo Harrington Hope Center is a shelter that provides a warm bed, meal and shower as well as case management and community resources. As laundry facilities keep the shelter up and running, this project will upgrade laundry appliances in the men’s, women’s and family shelter areas.

The Fax Partnership will renovate two 1940’s-era motels to create 40 safe, comfortable rooms to house families and individuals experiencing homelessness while permanent housing is located. This project willinclude ADA accessibility, security and safety updates, new appliances, windows, and doors, and plumbing and electrical upgrades.

Status: Home provides homeless and low-income individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS in the Greater Atlanta area with a continuum of housing options, supportive services, and educational opportunities. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will be used to renovate the historic three-story residential facility, which features 23 individual efficiency apartments and common spaces.
