Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County serves the largest county in Tampa Bay, building and preserving decent shelter for vulnerable families for 39 years. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will make key capital improvements that create a strong vibrant community in Windhorst Commons, a new affordable homeownership development. Improving sidewalks and adding a community park, a gazebo and green spaces will boost health and safety for neighborhood families as well as resilience to extreme weather.

Growing Hope has served children and families since 1979, including young people who age out of the foster care system without permanency or place to call home. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will revitalize Leaphart Place, its supportive transitional living apartments. When a community wraps around kids who age out of foster care, providing them with stable housing, skill building, and support, we all build a stronger, brighter, more hopeful community.

Founded in 1978, First Step is the largest non-profit providing comprehensive services to survivors of intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault in Wayne County, Michigan. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, the residential program will complete updates to the laundry room and client suites. These renovations will expand the longevity of the residential suites and create safe, welcoming living spaces for families and individuals fleeing domestic violence.

With the Lowe’s Community Impact grant, Final Salute will improve a transitional housing property in Alexandria, Virginia by removing hazardous trees, replacing deteriorating perimeter fencing, and enhancing the outdoor areas.

Beacon Housing is a nonprofit affordable housing provider serving the greater Pasadena region. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, Beacon Housing will furnish 19 affordable homes for Eaton Fire survivors, install landscaping and community gathering spaces at a 14-unit bungalow court in Altadena, and convert a detached garage into an additional permanently affordable accessory dwelling unit. These improvements will expand the supply of affordable housing and ensure that very low-income Eaton Fire survivor households can move into fully functional, dignified homes.
