The Lowe's Hometowns project will create a more peaceful environment by updating their space to repair damaged windows, install new heating and cooling and bring in refreshed decor.

Together Making a Better Community is a nonprofit agency that focuses on empowering and educating youth, families and community by providing opportunities and resources, like their business incubator program. Through the Lowe's Hometowns project, the facility's auditorium will be renovated and repaired. Work will include ceiling repair, plaster, lighting and curtain installation.

Humility Homes and Services, Inc. is committed to ending homelessness by offering housing opportunities and supportive services in the greater quad cities area. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the organization will add a two-bedroom affordable housing unit, which can properly house a family in need. In addition, laundry facilities will be added for all tenants living at the property.

With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will be completing a 340-foot ADA walkway with railing in the upper part of the Japanese Garden. The current pea gravel pathway makes it hard for those with mobility challenges to visit this part of the garden. These ADA walkways will ensure the opening of a future Children’s Garden, currently expected to open in mid-2024..

AFIL has been housing Veterans in need since 2015 and new community room fill a need that is necessary for these Veterans growth. Plumbing and electrical, new flooring and carpet, bathrooms, a kitchen, and recreational items like a pool table and televisions for movies and training will complete this Veteran comradery area.
