Zero Waste San Diego is a nonprofit organization working to advance repair, reuse, resource management, and community-based sustainability education throughout the San Diego region. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Zero Waste San Diego will improve the Reuse and Repair Collective by adding durable workbenches, repair stations, improved lighting and electrical access, shelving and tool storage, textile repair space, and an organized appliance and electronics repair workspace.

YWCA Utah has been serving the community for over 120 years, providing safety, shelter, and supportive services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, including nearly 30 years of operating transitional housing for survivors. This project will renovate the Kathleen Robison Huntsman Apartments by replacing flooring, updating paint and lighting, and improving shared indoor and outdoor spaces. These improvements will create a safe, dignified, and welcoming environment where survivors and their children can heal, rebuild, and move forward.

YMCA in Hudson - Skate Park

The Hudson YMCA Skate Park is a free skate park in St. Croix County Wisconsin, welcoming in over 500 young people each year with the mission of enhancing opportunities for youth and creating a better community for all. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the skate park will be renovated for the first time in 27 years, including three new large-scale ramps, new skate material, and a safer and freshened look of the park. These renovations will promote safety, connection, and positive growth for the young people of the Hudson community.

The Town of Wilkesboro Fire Department provides fire, medical, rescue, and educational services to the community of Wilkesboro. Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will provide a cleaner, and more professional area for its staff to operate, reduce costs, and allow funding to be put towards services provided by our staff.

The Wichita Children’s Home has worked since 1888 to break the cycle of abuse and neglect by cultivating a community where every child is safe and every family is supported. With the Lowe’s Community Impact grant, Wichita Children’s Home will renovate its Great Room, including a painted mural of a cityscape. The renovations will create a warmer, family-like space for our youth to relax, socialize with one another, and express their feelings as they start to heal from the trauma they have suffered.

Whitman-Walker Health

Whitman-Walker Health provides comprehensive and inclusive primary medical care, behavioral health care, dental care, family support services, and a range of health-related legal and support services to nearly 20,000 individuals and families annually in the greater Washington, D.C. region. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the health center will partner with Capital Area Food Bank to renovate an on-site Food Pharmacy at its Max Robinson Center.

The Company will use funds awarded by the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant to make much-needed renovations to its facility.

Waypoint is a nonprofit human services organization that strengthens individuals, families, and communities across New Hampshire through a broad range of services and support. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Waypoint will renovate the kitchens and bathrooms on both sides of the duplex at its Transitional Living Program in Manchester. These improvements will provide a safer, more welcoming home environment for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability and help support their path toward long-term stability and independent living.
