The USO’s mission is to strengthen the well-being of people serving in America’s military and their families. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, this remodel will enhance the organization’s ability to serve thousands of active-duty service members, as well as the many military family activities it hosts annually to foster connection and support. By broadening its reach, the USO at Fort Campbell will build a stronger sense of community, boost morale, and provide a welcoming space for all those connected to military service.

UrbanPromise Trenton, through the East Trenton Collaborative, is dedicated to strengthening the neighborhood it serves by providing essential resources, youth development programs, and a safe, stable hub for families navigating economic challenges. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will renovate the East Trenton Center, including building repairs, updating kitchen and bathroom facilities, and revitalization of our meeting and classroom spaces.

Tree Trust

Tree Trust is a Minnesota nonprofit whose mission is to transform lives and landscapes by engaging people to build skills for meaningful careers, inspiring people to plant trees, and making our community a greener, healthier place to live. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Tree Trust will replace approximately 600 feet of perimeter fencing and build raised garden beds at Historic Eidem Farm in Brooklyn Park, which typically welcomes 6,000 visitors annually.

Town of Surfside Beach Fire Department

The Surfside Beach Fire Department is dedicated to protecting life, property, and the well-being of our community through professional emergency response, fire prevention, and public service. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the department will renovate its station kitchen to create a safe, functional space for its fire department team and for members of the community who regularly utilize this space.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach exists to protect and enhance our island community and its vibrant quality of life. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, the Town will construct a permanent, elevated Recovery Operations Base at the former Town Hall site destroyed by Hurricane Ian, providing a storm-resilient facility built to exceed floodplain and storm surge standards.

Thomas Dunn Learning Center

Thomas Dunn Learning Center's mission is "Building a Sustainable Region Through Education." The Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will help build a fully accessible, sustainable outdoor classroom that seats 36 and can be used across multiple seasons, due to its permeable floor. This outdoor classroom will make our community more livable by creating a welcoming space where residents of all ages and mobilities can gather, learn, and connect close to home.

Third Creek Elementary School

Third Creek Elementary School is a Title I public school serving 550 children in grades K-5. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the school will replace its old playground equipment, install a new ADA compliant playground to serve children with physical disabilities, and refurbish the school’s amphitheater/outdoor classroom. These renovations will assist teachers in meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of their student while rejuvenating community involvement and volunteerism for the school.

The Stewpot’s Neighbor-Choice Pantry provides high-quality, client-centered food assistance in South Dallas, enabling low-income families and individuals to redirect limited resources toward essentials like housing, healthcare, and transportation. With Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the Stewpot will renovate its pantry space. These essential repairs and improvements will increase the efficiency of the pantry, enhance safety and cleanliness, and dignify the shopping experience for neighbors in need of nourishing food and essential supplies.

The Shepherd's House Homeless Shelter & Helping Hands Food Pantry

The Greater Mt. Airy Ministry of Hospitality and its sister agencies, the Shepherd’s House and Helping Hands provide housing, food, and resources to those in need. Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will help renovate two bathrooms and the oil furnaces and air conditioning units. Completion of this project will allow the expansion of outreach to previously unserved homeless and food insecure populations, increasing our agencies service delivery to an estimated 25% more individuals.
