A town hit with a devastating and deadly tornado that leveled neighborhoods seeks to build a memorial playground at the site of touchdown in place of the homes destroyed. The children’s playground will honor the five children and 14 adults whose lives were lost and restore hope to a community that has been forever affected.

A private nonprofit that provides educational, recreational, and social service opportunities to neighborhood residents seeks assistance in developing a village of tiny, energy-efficient homes to house those in need, with a specific focus on establishing a tool lending library stocked with tools and resources for members of the neighborhood to use to maintain or improve their homes, gardens or yards. Area Lowe’s stores helped kick start the program by building the first two homes in the village.

A riverfront amphitheater that is the focal point and meeting place for gatherings, events, ceremonies, and festivals, as well as a source of pride for a close-knit community, wishes to renovate and upgrade the amphitheater with improved covering, light and sound to create a space to support large community gatherings and events. The only facility of its kind in the county, the amphitheater is used by a diverse group of organizers year-round.

An organization is working to complete a space for those in recovery from substance abuse and addiction that will serve as a drop-in center and group meeting place — something the community is currently lacking. The organization was gifted a house intended for this purpose, and it seeks assistance in finishing renovations to it, so it can open its doors to those in need.
