In order to become a sustainable food source for its community, the All Saints Episcopal Church Woodstock Pantry will outfit three food storage containers with electricity, appliances, shelving and lighting. Exterior upgrades include building a permanent patio covering, concrete work, landscaping and paint.

The Village at Glencliff provides people experiencing homelessness a dignified place to recover after hospitalization. Renovations and upgrades will allow a new community room to serve as an occupational therapy space. A brand new garden shed will serve as both a recreational club room and a tornado shelter with access for medically vulnerable residents.

The Salvation Army Homeless Shelter needs significant repairs to make it safe, functional, and livable for those in need. This project will provide a new kitchen for meal preparation, laundry appliances for daily upkeep and a renovation of the shelter’s lobby and common living area.

As laundry facilities keep the shelter up and running, this project will upgrade laundry appliances in the men’s, women’s and family shelter areas.

Each year this Salvation Army location provides more than 18,250 nights of shelter and more than 54,750 meals to men and women seeking to overcome substance dependance and abuse. This project will completely remodel two bathrooms that are shared by all residents to transform the facility used by so many into a fresh space.

The Salvation Army of Carthage is expanding the capacity of their food pantry to meet the growing need of families and individuals facing food insecurity in their community. New appliances, including a commercial grade cooler display case, expanded shelving units, and a display refrigerator, among other updates, will extend the life of the donated food.

The Friendship Center

For 16 years the Friendship Center has provided safe shelter and supportive services to thousands of survivors, primarily women and children, fleeing domestic violence. To address wear and tear, the 13-room shelter will receive new flooring, interior painting, window coverings, and a converted garage to serve as a free store for clients.
