This project will update the infrastructure of Elizabeth Senior Center, Nashville’s only dedicated Senior Center, with a new kitchen, flooring, paint, and furniture. This project is a critical step toward ensuring that Nashville’s aging population can thrive in place.

Merced County is a local government agency dedicated to providing essential public services that enhance safety, well-being, and quality of life for its diverse and predominantly rural communities. The Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will fund critical renovations to the historic El Nido Community Hall. These improvements will preserve the community’s only dedicated public gathering space and strengthen its ability to serve as a hub for services, emergency response, and community events.

The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library serves residents of Howard County, Indiana, by creating opportunities for its community to become its best. With Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the library will install a sidewalk to make its performance stage accessible, add family-style seating, and revitalize its Community and Butterfly Gardens. These improvements will allow access to the stage for patrons with mobility issues and parents with strollers and create a more enjoyable space.

The Hidden Valley Community Garden and Beautification Committees are dedicated to cultivating a healthy, connected neighborhood and shared green spaces for the community to enjoy. With support from the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the committees will renovate and expand its garden beds, beautify and install community areas for planting and congregating, while creating accessibility for seniors and disabled residents. These enhancements will increase community pride, food access, promote wellness and community engagement.

Grant funding will allow the organization to replace the deteriorating flooring in its lobby, hallways, and classrooms, creating a safer, more accessible, and more welcoming environment for all who use our facility. These improvements will strengthen its ability to serve more than 800 older adults and host community partners, ensuring the center remains a vibrant hub for the Donelson area.
