YWCA Utah has been serving the community for over 120 years, providing safety, shelter, and supportive services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, including nearly 30 years of operating transitional housing for survivors. This project will renovate the Kathleen Robison Huntsman Apartments by replacing flooring, updating paint and lighting, and improving shared indoor and outdoor spaces. These improvements will create a safe, dignified, and welcoming environment where survivors and their children can heal, rebuild, and move forward.

The Wichita Children’s Home has worked since 1888 to break the cycle of abuse and neglect by cultivating a community where every child is safe and every family is supported. With the Lowe’s Community Impact grant, Wichita Children’s Home will renovate its Great Room, including a painted mural of a cityscape. The renovations will create a warmer, family-like space for our youth to relax, socialize with one another, and express their feelings as they start to heal from the trauma they have suffered.

Waypoint is a nonprofit human services organization that strengthens individuals, families, and communities across New Hampshire through a broad range of services and support. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Waypoint will renovate the kitchens and bathrooms on both sides of the duplex at its Transitional Living Program in Manchester. These improvements will provide a safer, more welcoming home environment for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability and help support their path toward long-term stability and independent living.

The Hiding Place exists to create safe, trauma-informed spaces for survivors of domestic violence and their children through support, resources, and community connection. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the center will install a new HVAC system, upgrade electrical and lighting, replace flooring, renovate two bathrooms to include showers, and develop outdoor healing spaces with gardens and greenhouse structures.

With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will install a direct concrete walkway, a reflection patio, five shaded resting stations, and sixteen new trees to bridge the gap between its residential buildings and outdoor amenities. These improvements will foster intergenerational connection and mobility confidence by providing a safe, restorative environment where seniors and neighboring students can thrive together.

Knox County’s mission is to build a stronger, healthier community by expanding access to safety, stability, and opportunities for all residents, including the veterans who have served our nation. Operation Hero’s Hill will be 20‑unit tiny‑home village paired with a supportive service from the VA. Funding from the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will help complete the interior construction and finishing of the on‑site community center.

These improvements will provide families with dignified, stable housing they can be proud of, reinforcing their sense of worth and supporting long-term success.

Harbor House of Central Florida, Inc.

Harbor House of Central Florida serves domestic violence survivors in Orange County through community offices and its emergency shelter, which provides safe housing to more than 850 survivors each year, including women, men, children, and pets. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Harbor House will enhance its nine-acre shelter campus with improvements to its vegetable garden, butterfly garden, and meditation path. These upgrades create peaceful spaces where survivors can heal, grow, and thrive.
