In rural Maryland, three local non-profit community organizations – Our Town Theatre, the Mountain Laurel Garden Club and Community Works Garrett County – are partnering together on a project to benefit the community. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organizations will renovate and restore the Jane Avery Memorial Garden - which was intended to honor the lives of children who died too soon. These renovations will make the Memorial Garden a welcome retreat for family and community members.

Franciscan Village provides seniors with high-quality housing and site programming designed to meet their physical, social, and psychological needs. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will install a direct concrete walkway, a reflection patio, five shaded resting stations, and sixteen new trees to bridge the gap between its residential buildings and outdoor amenities. These improvements will foster intergenerational connection and mobility confidence by providing a safe, restorative environment where seniors and neighboring students can thrive together.

North Sioux City Dakota Valley Recreation Complex

The North Sioux City Dakota Valley Recreation Complex is home to local youth baseball, softball, and football facilities. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the complex will repair significant damage caused by the devastating flooding that occurred during the summer of 2024. These repairs will bring to completion the flood recovery and allow area youth to be able to again fully enjoy our once beautiful complex.

New Horizons: Serving Individuals with Special Needs

For more than 70 years, New Horizons: Serving Individuals with Special Needs has advanced the rights and life choices of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Los Angeles County through high-quality, innovative, and personalized services. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will renovate the backyard of its Troy Binder Residential Home to include accessible pathways, recreation spaces, shaded picnic areas, and tranquil outdoor features.

Nashville Parks Foundation

The Nashville Parks Foundation is dedicated to enhancing Nashville’s public parks and expanding recreational opportunities, while promoting sustainable growth of the city’s park system. This project will update the infrastructure of Elizabeth Senior Center, Nashville’s only dedicated Senior Center, with a new kitchen, flooring, paint, and furniture. This project is a critical step toward ensuring that Nashville’s aging population can thrive in place.

Mount Mourne Fire Department

Mount Mourne Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to an 18-square-mile response district in southern Iredell County. With Lowe's Community Impact Grant, the department will be able to add hard surfaces and landscaping around its training building. These additions will complete the training grounds and provide a facility for its firefighters to train and better their skills for many years to come.

With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the building structure at the soccer complex will receive a new roof, gutters, windows, HVAC, bathroom remodels, lighting, drywall, fresh paint, refrigerators, landscaping, outdoor mural, and picnic table.
