Growing Hope has served children and families since 1979, including young people who age out of the foster care system without permanency or place to call home. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will revitalize Leaphart Place, its supportive transitional living apartments. When a community wraps around kids who age out of foster care, providing them with stable housing, skill building, and support, we all build a stronger, brighter, more hopeful community.

Green Acres Regional Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through meaningful employment, community engagement, and supportive services that foster independence and dignity. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will renovate two residence halls. These improvements will help provide stable housing for vulnerable individuals, strengthen our local workforce, and ensure our community can continue to care for and uplift those in need for years to come.

The Grand Caillou/Dulac Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw, Inc. has served the community since 2014. The Lowe’s Community Impact Grant will provide the necessary funding to place the playground at the Community Outreach Program Office (COPO) which will contribute to bringing children and families together in a safe environment that supports everyday interaction and the rebuilding of cultural continuity.

Founded in 1954, Fletcher Fire Rescue is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while protecting life, property, and our community from the adverse effects of fire, accidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies. The Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, will renovate gathering spaces that support the mental and physical well-being of its firefighter by creating better place to relax when taking breaks from the daily 911 calls and training they respond to.

Founded in 1978, First Step is the largest non-profit providing comprehensive services to survivors of intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault in Wayne County, Michigan. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, the residential program will complete updates to the laundry room and client suites. These renovations will expand the longevity of the residential suites and create safe, welcoming living spaces for families and individuals fleeing domestic violence.

Final Salute, Inc. supports women veterans and their children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness by providing housing and services that promote stability, independence, and long-term success. With the Lowe’s Community Impact grant, Final Salute will improve a transitional housing property in Alexandria, Virginia by removing hazardous trees, replacing deteriorating perimeter fencing, and enhancing the outdoor areas.

Fiftyforward Donelson Station

FiftyForward Donelson Station’s mission is to support, champion, and enhance the lives of those 50 and older through programs that promote healthy aging, connection, and lifelong engagement. Grant funding will allow the organization to replace the deteriorating flooring in its lobby, hallways, and classrooms, creating a safer, more accessible, and more welcoming environment for all who use our facility. These improvements will strengthen its ability to serve more than 800 older adults and host community partners, ensuring the center remains a vibrant hub for the Donelson area.

Family Support Center protects children, strengthens families, and prevents child abuse through education, crisis support, and essential resources, including LifeStart Village, a 37-unit transitional housing community, where single parents and their children rebuild after homelessness, domestic violence, and crisis. With the Lowe's Community Impact Grant, LifeStart Village will refresh residential units and establish a community garden where residents grow fresh food together.

Every Day Action is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity by redistributing surplus food to communities in need. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will complete the Food Insecurity Shared Hub (F.I.S.H.) alongside nonprofit partners. These improvements will expand capacity to recover and distribute food in real time, strengthening a collaborative network that increases access to nutritious meals.
