Serenity Inns provides treatment services to uninsured or underinsured men who are struggling with substance use disorders. The program's unique feature is the Dinner Fellowship, where residents and volunteers gather to share meals. Through Lowe's Hometowns, a renovation of the dining area, kitchen, first floor living and counseling area and two upstairs bathrooms will help residents and employees thrive.

Gladney Center for Adoption’s mission is to create bright futures through adoption. The organization not only helps to facilitate adoption, but also provides advocacy for teen girls in foster care, post-adoption counseling and support and ongoing education. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will replace their HVAC and add revitalize an outdoor space with sports equipment, landscaping and furniture to create a welcoming space for families to gather and connect.

The Friendship Mission, currently the only operational homeless shelter in Montgomery. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the organization will receive critical repairs and upgrades to the dining hall, kitchen and pantry including new appliances, countertops, ceiling tiles, paint, windows, flooring and more. The repairs will create an even safer, stable shelter for those in need.

The Lowe's Hometowns project will complete a basement and replace front steps to make the space accessible to clients for support services. The renovation will include reconfiguring walls, renovating a bathroom, repairing windows and adding new ceiling tiles, lighting, flooring and paint.

Franklin County Humane Society known as Animal Harbor

Franklin County Humane Society, also known as Animal Harbor, transitioned their facility from an old cattle barn to a new facility in 2014. The Lowe's Hometowns project will enclose the front porch to become a foyer, convert an old garage currently used for storage into a multipurpose room, replace old washers, add furniture, paint and a mural to help Animal Harbor care for even more rescued pets.

Southeastern Connecticut Community Land Trust

The Place, a grocery store-style food pantry operated by Southeast Connecticut Community Land Trust, serves community members throughout the day, evenings and weekends. The Lowe's Hometowns project will support renovations of the ‘food wing' which will include painting and replacing the flooring in the kitchen and hallway, installing a commercial stove and oven, and replacing the walk-in cooler. These updates will create space for community nutrition classes and help serve even more families and individuals.

Florence Crittenton Services of Arizona, Inc. is a licensed Behavioral Health Residential Facility and has four residential cottages that serve as primary residences for girls ages ten to 17 undergoing behavioral health treatment. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the cottages will be upgraded with repairs, new and fresh paint for the first time in over a decade, helping to provide a safe and welcoming place for healing.
