Special Love partners with the Northern Virginia 4-H Center to provide camping programs for children with cancer and their families. Through Lowe's Hometowns the camp facility will be updated to offer more accessible bathrooms and amenities.  Work will include new bathroom partitions, campfire circle, basketball court, infirmary bathrooms. The renovations will help young patients and their families create lasting memories together.

The Fight for Kids Foundation's (FKF) misison is to provide at-risk youth and young adults with healthy, safe and effective ways of communicating, making decisions and protecting themsleves physically and mentally by fostering positive development, building resilience and enabling children to thrive. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will help build a brand-new homework and computer lab space and expanded kitchen and restroom as well as a new HVAC will ensure these kids have access to physical training and positive leadership.

Through Lowe's Hometowns, Spelter Volunteer Fire Department will renovate the facility's common room, kitchen, sleeping quarters and gym. Flooring, ceilings and paint will also be updated throughout the facility to create a more comfortable space for the hard-working volunteers.

Through Lowe's Hometowns, the facility's kitchen, kitchen annex and dining area will be renovated so that individuals no longer have to share a small, limited kitchen space.

Envision Charlotte & The Innovation Barn play a pivotal role in combating climate change by empowering, inspiring and equipping individuals and businesses with practical solutions. The project will enhance its outdoor community space, offering educational experiences on material management and sustainable practices. Upgrades include new gardens, awning, sign and ADA accessibility to its fire pits. A water feature will increase sustainability and a brand-new serving bar will generate funding.

Through Lowe's Hometowns, new bathroom fixtures, flooring, paint, appliances and furniture will be added to the much-used space. These improvements will create a more comfortable and accessible facility for volunteers and the broader community to use for events and training.

Through Lowe's Hometowns, Eden Housing Resident Services will receive a new community garden at Faith Manor and Tennyson Garden apartments, an affordable housing community in Hayward California. Upgrades to their outdoor areas will include new garden beds, weed barrier, benches, irrigation and pea gravel throughout the site. The garden area will provide youth enrichment as a part of their after-school program and bring the community together.

StarkFresh's Food Justice Campus houses a neighborhood-sized grocery store in an area of town that previously had no affordable food access. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the organization will make updates and repairs to the exterior, including replacing roof shingles, repairing and painting brick walls, repairing storm-damaged windows, and improving fencing, will make this campus an even more vibrant beacon of community.

ecoREHAB, Inc. has developed programs with community partners that train at-risk individuals 16+ in the construction trades. The Lowe's Hometowns project will transform a former lumber yard into a construction training facility with work primarily being done on the main building and nearby barn. The facility will become a safe place for students to succeed, find support systems, learn a trade and build self-esteem.
