For nearly 100 years, Easterseals has been an indispensable resource for children, adults, families and veterans living and thriving with disabilities in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The Lowe's Hometowns project will refurbish a child development center with a renovated kitchen, including freshly painted walls, doors and baseboards throughout. New countertops and backsplash, stairs, posts, handrails and a refinished wall in the main area will make this an enriching space, expanding opportunities for people across the lifespan of their community.

Surayya Anne Foundation

The Surayya Anne Foundation is a temporary housing facility that supports the unhoused residents of Tulsa with financial support, mental health counseling, addiction rehab, driving and job training. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the facility’s individual units and common space will be renovated, including landscaping, security gate repair, paint, new appliances and storage.

Texoma Family Shelter

Texoma Family Shelter is the only 24-hour living facility in the Texoma region of Texas that shelters individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Lowe's Hometowns project will include a kitchen renovation, including new countertops, lighting, flooring, appliances, as well as refinished cabinets with new hardware will expand the organization's capacity to prepare and serve food for its residents.

The Duryea VFW has served the Duryea, Greater Pittston and lower Lackawanna County areas for the last 100 years. The organization collaborates across the community to provide community gathering space, including the Northeast PA Food Dignity Project farmers’ market. The Lowes’ Hometowns project will help construct a pavilion to expand its usable space to benefit veterans, their families and the greater community.

The Dream Streets's vision for the James R Brown building is to provide transitional housing for 48 individuals, couples and families. Updates and repairs through the Lowe's Hoometowns project will help the housing facility become functional - renovations include new windows, paint, exterior repairs, shelving, locker installation, landscaping and patios. The facility will serve a city facing a housing crisis and protect and empower the individuals and families served.

The Food Brigade Inc.

In 2023, The Food Brigade Inc. fed 77,908 North Jersey residents from its three existing pantry locations in Bergen and Hudson Counties. With the Lowe's Hometowns grant, the facility will be upgraded with flooring, wall repairs, paint, lighting, signage, ADA ramps and furniture, enabling The Food Brigade to help even more of their neighbors in need.

Dismas of Vermont

Dismas of Vermont offers transitional housing for recently incarcerated individuals that are reentering the community and is an organization driven by 700+ volunteers. The Lowe's Hometowns project will include an update to 16 rooms at the facility including paint, wall repair, new appliances and window treatments will be made. This is a necessary project for a county struggling against substance use disorder.
