St. Francis de Sales High School is a community-centered high school on Chicago’s Southeast Side committed to empowering students to achieve academic excellence while addressing the barriers of poverty through access to food, healthcare, financial support, and education. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the school will renovate and enhance its community space including its community closet, student-run food pantry, and upgrading key areas to create a more functional, welcoming environment.

The food pantry at St. John’s Baptist Church strengthens families and supports neighborhood well-being by providing food access, youth engagement, education programs, and community-centered opportunities for connection and economic empowerment. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will upgrade restrooms, improve pantry storage and distribution space, refresh gathering areas used for community programming, and prepare the site for a community garden partnership with a nearby pre-K.

SPARK 618—Skills Pathways Accessibility Resilience Knowledge—is a Carbondale-based nonprofit connecting Southern Illinois residents with workforce training, clean energy career pathways, and community partnerships that help people build stable futures. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, SPARK 618 will renovate approximately 1,000 square feet at the Eurma C. Hayes Community Center into the SPARK 618 Skilled Trades Learning Lab.

SheBuilds Futures is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing girls for careers in architecture, construction, engineering, and the skilled trades through hands-on learning experiences. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will complete the interior build-out of the Building Futures Innovation Academy. These improvements will create a safe, hands-on learning environment that strengthens the local workforce pipeline and provides students with access to real-world skills and career opportunities.

ShareHouse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive addiction recovery and mental health services that support individuals in building stable, healthy lives. With support from Lowe’s, the organization will construct two outdoor green spaces featuring gazebos, patios, and landscaping to create welcoming environments for reflection and connection. These improvements will provide restorative spaces for clients and staff, strengthening recovery outcomes and supporting the overall well-being of our community.

Sergeant Bluff Fire, Rescue and EMS Foundation is a volunteer Fire Department in Northwest Iowa that has been providing services to Sergeant Bluff, Woodbury Township and surrounding areas for over 100 years. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the department will be able to create an outdoor patio space that will include cement, fencing, a shed and patio furnishings. This new area will allow fire department members a place to decompress, share meals and strengthen peer support.

Roswell Organization for Community Development’s mission is to preserve the historical aspects of the neighborhood, which includes the renovation of historic buildings, including the 155-year-old historic Zion Missionary Baptist Church. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the empowerment center will completely transform the interior of the building These renovations will provide a much-needed space for expanding community food giveaways, conducting meetings, wedding and establishing educational venues.

Ritenour School District is committed to empowering every student to achieve their full potential through equitable, high-quality learning experiences, grounded in its dedication to equity, inclusion, and access for all. With support from Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the district will complete site additions and beautification, including creating a community garden and outdoor gathering space for our students new to the country, early childhood learners, and gifted students.

Through the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, Rhode Island Women in Trades Skills will renovate a historic carriage house into the Rhode Island Women in the Trades Skilled Trades Training Center, which will include a hands-on learning space and a community toolbox that provides access to tools equipment and training resources. The center will strengthen workforce development by preparing women for apprenticeships union careers and construction jobs that provide family sustaining wages while preserving community history.

RESET INC is a community resource organization dedicated to providing food access, supportive services, and essential resources to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. With the Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, the organization will expand and renovate pantry storage areas, increase refrigerated storage capacity, install new freezers and kitchen equipment, upgrade flooring, and install a secure front entrance.
